EngeniusMicro is looking for an Engineering Technician to join our team of highly skilled engineers to work on a variety of hi-tech projects. EngeniusMicro is looking for someone who has a natural curiosity towards engineering technology and a drive to gain hands-on experience with hardware as well as all aspects of a project's lifecycle.

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Assembly of mechanical fixtures and hardware in support of research and development efforts using various hand and power tools (i.e. drills, saws, mills) 
  • Fabrication or modification of prototype hardware using multiple processes (machining, metal fabrication, woodworking, laser cutting, and 3d printing) 
  • Electronics assembly, repair, and modification including intermediate to advanced soldering and testing of electronics 
  • Use of electronics and RF test equipment (i.e. multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers) 
  • Using adhesives, epoxies, painting, and other chemicals typically used in a workshop. 
  • Perform quality inspections of both incoming and outgoing mechanical and electrical assemblies using inspection equipment such as calipers and multimeters. 
  • Aid engineers in developing procedures for various activities. 

Basic Qualifications and Skills 

  • Basic mechanical aptitude (know which tools to use and how to use them) 
  • Basic electrical aptitude (general understanding of AC/DC power, digital, and analog electronics) 
  • Strong attention to safety, detail, and workmanship. 
  • Ability to work independently on a variety of different production tasks, and balance task priorities to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products  
  • Ability to design and draw simple parts in CAD 
  • Ability to look up, understand, and work from vendor hardware specifications, data sheets, or engineering drawings and electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. 
  • Experience in fabrication (machining, fabrication, plastics molding, plastics fabrication, and rapid prototyping) 
  • Intermediate to advanced soldering skills  


Additional Desired (but not required) Skills 

  • RF electronics experience (radios, radar, wireless networks, etc.) 
  • Basic microprocessor programming (Arduino, Teensy, etc.) 
  • Experience with test instrumentation (accelerometers, thermocouples, strain gauges, cameras, etc.) 
  • Experience working with the DoD preferred  
  • Active Security Clearance preferred
